Individual Qualification

In considering the Individual tournament the ESA board felt it was important to include all ESA members and to give each member the opportunity for qualification.

3 events will be held to determine qualification for the Individual events. Players need to state their category, ie U12, U15, U19, Ladies, Open or Veteran, before the qualifiers commence. Events will be held in the North, Midlands and South of England. Dates and venues are published on the ESA website.

ESA members are encouraged to play in all 3 events. The events will be played to the Swiss System and ranking points will be allocated to each player after each event. The ESA will take the best 2 individual results from the 3 events.

World Cup places will be offered to the highest ranking 2 players from each category. If the player is unable to travel to the World Cup, the place will be offered to the next highest ranked player and so on.

Team Qualification

The ESA board will form the Selection Committee. The selection Committee will decide on all team places, in each category. The committee will consider all individual performances during the qualification process and all individual performances in FISTF and WASPA tournaments, during the last 2 years.

Further details of all Qualification Events and Venues can be found on the ESA website. All events are subject to government Covid guidance.

The Committee will announce the World Cup Squad for the individual and team events in February 2021.
